Custom Barong Tagalog in Piña Cocoon Silk for a Wedding

These two Custom Barong Tagalog pieces were produced at Josip Tumapa Design for a private wedding ceremony. Each one was created from scratch: the silhouette was selected individually, the embroidery structure was designed specifically for the client, and the front panel composition was developed to match the wearer’s proportions.

Both are made from natural piña cocoon silk. The fabric supports intricate hand embroidery while maintaining the structure required for formal wear.

All patterns and decorative elements were created exclusively for this commission and embroidered entirely by hand. The patterns were drafted according to the client’s individual measurements rather than adapted from standard templates.

This project represents a made-to-measure Custom Barong Tagalog produced in natural piña cocoon silk with embroidery executed entirely by hand.
