The British Council is awarding up to £8,000 to creative projects between the UK and the Philippines

The British Council is a government organisation from the United Kingdom focused on international cultural opportunities.
Since 2019, the Council has awarded grants to support exchange, collaboration and research between the arts and culture sectors of the UK and the Philippines. Last year, due to restrictions brought on by the pandemic, the Council focused on funding collaborative projects in the online and digital space, such as residencies, webinars, archives, toolkits, and research.
This year, the Council will continue supporting these online and digital initiatives through their Connections Through Culture (CTC) grant programme. The grants should be used to support the development of collaborative projects between the UK and the Philippines, focused on “artistic expression or creativity at the core” while facilitating the exchange of knowledge or co-producing new creative content.
Two types of grants are available under the Connections through Culture programme. While the UK-SEA Collaboration Grant awards up to £8,000 to applicants who have not yet received a CTC UK-SEA grant, the UK-SEA Alumni grants, a new scheme under CTC, awards up to £2,000 to previous grantees who have completed their projects.
