Launched on August 2, BuKo - a shorthand for “Buhay Komedya” - is the country’s first and only 24-hour comedy channel.

BuKo is in partnership with Cignal, a direct-to-home satellite provider, and APT Entertainment Inc., a film and television production company. The channel offers a lineup of lifestyle and classic comedy shows, classified into three programming blocks: Tawag Pinoy Klasiks!, Throwback Tawanan, and BuKo Originals.

Tawang Pinoy Klasiks consist of classic Filipino comedy sitcoms, including Iskul Bukol, Wow Mali, Bubble Gang, OGAG, Loko Moko, and Tropang Trumpo.  Throwback Tawanan is a mix of popular comedy series and game shows, including Pidol’s Wonderland, Celebrity Samurai, Mac & Chiz, and Sugo Mga Kapatid

BuKo Originals will be the channel’s flagship block with a lineup of original Filipino comedy programs. This roster includes #MaineGoals, a lifestyle-oriented show hosted by comedian Maine Mendoza where she engages in bucket list activities, ticking off tasks or “goals” from her checklist.

News Patol is another BuKo original show with comic duo Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola as they bring “mga patolang balita” or silly news. Likewise, Kusina ni Mamang features comedian Pokwang accompanies young celebrities into the kitchen to cook and eat traditional Filipino dishes.

With the lineup of shows, BuKo Channel positions itself as a “feel-good content channel” for all types of viewers.

BuKo channel is on Cignal TV Channel 2 and SatLike Channel 2, and on the Cignal Play app, available via App Store and Google Play.
